Mindful Pastoring: How to Stay Present in a Culture of Church Decline
Let's face it: Pastoral ministry can be especially difficult these days in a world where church attendance is in decline and society is increasingly secularized. It's hard not to take shrinking numbers personally. We can't help but wonder if our pastoral predecessors were somehow more talented and competent, attracting far more church members than we do now. We might mourn the past and beat ourselves up for not being good enough as ministers.
Help is on the way! Join us Thursday, April 12 at Connecticut Baptist Homes in Meriden, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nick Munn, independently licensed counselor and consultant with The Center for Career Development and Ministry, will guide us in developing new tools for navigating through stressful times like these. You'll come away with fresh perspectives and coping strategies for ministering in this new church environment.
CCDM Executive Director, Maggie Lewis, will also be present and can assist you in arranging a FREE coaching session some time after the event.
This workshop is is co-sponsored by the ABCCONN Ministers' Council and The Center for Career Development and Ministry (CCDM).
