Summer Study at Yale Divinity School is almost here. The registration deadline for Week 1 courses is extended to noon on Friday, May 24. The deadline to register for Week 2 courses is noon on Wednesday, May 30.
Register now before your preferred courses are filled!
Among the topics and classes at Summer Study 2018—along with perennial favorites like Bible, early church history, and preaching—are contemporary church issues, trauma ministry and pastoral care, and music and the arts. Highlights include:
- Talking to People Who Are Angry at God (David Kelsey and Julie Kelsey)
- Merton, Ministry, Mindfulness (Brandon Nappi)
- Radical Pedagogy (Almeda Wright)
- Faith and Reason (John Hare)
- The Bible through Art and Artifact II (Julie Faith Parker)
Registration is still available for the Yale Youth Ministry Institute week-long course on “Why Youth Ministry? A Beacon of Joy in the Midst of Suffering.” The course meetings are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening, June 4–8. The registration for this program is separate from the Divinity School courses. The courses of the Summer Study and the Youth Ministry Program are for anyone who would enjoy the opportunity to be immersed in weeklong courses on topics essential to church ministry and personal enrichment.
