Donations can be made at or checks can be mailed to Camp Wightman, 207 Coal Pit Hill Road, Griswold, CT 06351. The Board of Directors of Camp Wightman would like to announce the retirement of Holly Blacker, Interim Executive Director of Camp Wightman. Over the past four years, Holly has passionately guided Camp Wightman through transition. She tackled many challenges, including the unforeseen disruption in business operations due to Covid-19. Despite some rocky days, Holly persevered. Her enthusiasm for Camp has been magnetic, creating a revived energy by drawing in many new and returning volunteers and new resources. In her tenure, Camp Wightman secured funds from generous donors to revitalize the Reynolds and Cathcart Retreat Centers, and the Executive Residence. Holly has also created new opportunities for families to enjoy retreats throughout the year. As many of you likely know, Holly’s love and passion for Camp started at a very young age as a Camper! She served on Staff in her teens and has been a dedicated volunteer ever since, honoring her mother’s legacy – Joyce Blacker, a lifelong volunteer in whose memory the Chapel is named. “It has been my pleasure to serve Camp as the Interim Executive Director over the last several years. It has been wonderful reconnecting and building new relationships with so many who also love Camp. The most recent highlight was being able to bring kids back to Camp this past summer! I will miss serving Camp in this role, and I will be back to volunteer soon!” Holly Camp Wightman has been blessed with Holly’s leadership. The board is truly excited for Holly as she enters into a new chapter in life, and we look forward to celebrating her service.
